Q. What are the grades taught at Oakhill Academy?
A. Oakhill Academy is a Preschool through 8th grade independent, private school with a focus on rigorous academics, strong community, and a global perspective for our students. We offer classes with 14:1 student-teacher ratio.
Q. Does Oakhill have a community or religious affliation?
A. No, Oakhill Academy is an independent, secular, coeducational, not-for-profit 501(c)3 school.
Q. What secondary or high schools will your students attend after 8th grade?
A. Oakhill Academy 8th grade students graduate to local high school International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, leadership programs, and Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum.
Q. What is the foreign language curriculum?
A.  Starting in Transitional Kindergarten, our students have daily immersion classes in French, Spanish, or Chinese.
Q. What is the school calendar year?
A. Classes commence the third week of August and continue through the 2nd week of June (180 days). Recognizing learning outside the classroom has an incredibly positive impact on children, our students and families are encouraged to take holiday and vacation time when school is out of session and during extended holidays. Our students are able to learn more fluently and soundly when we can ensure continuity in their curriculum and access to their teachers during the school year.

A.  Junior Kindergarten
8:30am - 2:30pm full day
8:30am -12:00pm half day
Kindergarten- 1st grade
8:15am-3:00pm
Grades 2nd-8th
8:00am-3:15pm
 
Q. Do you offer before and after school extended day care?
A. Yes, Oakhill provides day care for our students from 6:30am until the start of school and from 2:30pm until 6:30pm. The day care payment and monthly or annual contracts are arranged with the Business Office at the start of each school year. We also have a free homework club from 3:30-4:30 each day for students in grades 1-8. There are snacks for purchase during extended afternoon day care.
Q. Do you have transportation in the community?
A. No, Oakhill does not provide community based transportation. Our families are encouraged to allow us to facilitate introductions for carpool arrangements, as we have students attending from all areas of Temecula, Murrieta, Fallbrook, Wildomar, Winchester, in addition to Escondido, San Marcos, and Rancho Bernardo.
