Bernard began playing the cello at ten years old. After graduating from USC with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education he began his teaching career in Los Angeles teaching beginning strings and orchestra at the Junior High level. He later earned an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and worked in the music products industry for several years. For the past twenty-three years Bernard has taught orchestra, band, and classroom music at the elementary school level and continues to teach cello privately. Bernard enjoys learning, playing, and teaching a variety of instruments and sharing his passion for music with young learners.
